 Mighty Mini's
This is the most cost effective way to start out in circuit racing it has proven this year on year and it is reflected in the grid sizes. The regulations have been specifically crafted with the beginner in mind. Yokohama tyres (A539) and Gaz shock absorbers enhance the handling. These cars are road-going cars with a few modifications, centred around safety and reliability. The base car must be a Single point injection Mini Cooper, the production window of these cars are from 1991 –1996. A good donor car can range from £500 to £3000. This is the largest expense so our advice is to buy carefully.
You will need a national B race licence this can be obtained by getting in touch with the MSA (Motor Sports Association) and purchasing an ARDS starter kit the MSA telephone number is 01753765000. You will a medical and to book yourself a test at one of the circuits listed in their pack. Our advice is to study the video carefully as most of the multiple choice questions are from information on this video. Whilst taking the driving test drive briskly but carefully 80% should do the trick, pay particular attention to other cars on the circuit. Safety is the point not speed!!!

 Super Mighty Mini's
Super Mighty Minis was designed to allow drivers who had the minimum of a years experience in any form of motorsport to compete against other experienced drivers. This removes the likelihood of novice drivers causing unnecessary mishaps. These cars are 1.3 Single point injection Mini Coopers and the regulations allow for Perspex windows, a balanced engine, lightening of the car, anti roll bars, and a much more flexible suspension set up, these cars use the GAZ shock absorbers and Yokohama tyres (O48R) as mandatory.

Many of the items for the conversion are supplied by Mini Spares Ltd. All cylinder heads are supplied by Mighty Minis racing and must not be further modified. The increase of power found through this modification is 30%. If you want to race bumper to bumper and door handle to door handle with the utmost trust in your fellow competitor this is the championship to choose.
